BTL would like to inform all Internet Lease line customers running their own name servers to immediately upgrade their BIND software. There has been a serious bug found on the existing BIND software, if not upgraded on time, will make your Name Server (DNS) very vulnerable to attack from hackers and Internet and e-mail will not work from your network.
In order to prevent this from happening, we urgently request all Network/system Administrator to carry out the following:
If you are running BIND UNIX machine download bind-9.5.0-P1.tar.gz and BIND9.5.0-P1.zip for Microsoft windows 2000/2003. The software can be downloaded from http://www.isc.org/index.pl
The advisory has come from ISC( Internet Systems Consortium( makers of BIND software) and (CERT)Community Emergency Response Team.

High Speed DSL Broadband available in more places
Bhutan Telecom is pleased to inform all interested Druknet customers that the high speed Broadband internet services is now available at Samdrup Jongkhar, Bumthang, Gelephu, Pasakha and Gedu. With this the high speed broadband internet services are available in these places: Thimphu, Semtokha, Dechencholing, Phuentsholing, Paro, Wangduephodrang, Trongsa, Mongar, Haa, and Kanglung. Land required to built BTS towers
Bhutan Telecom Limited plans to install B-Mobile BTS towers in Thimphu and nearby areas, as such; Bhutan Telecom would like to acquire the private land of area 5 to 10 decimals at prevailing market/competitive rate at Motithang, Chamzamtog, Taba Lungtenphu and Jungshina. The preferable locations are as given below:
- Motithang: Near Sunshine School or Near Lhatshog Tshongkhang(Shop number 7)
- Changzamtog: Near Army sawmill or Police Fire Brigade station
- Taba: Near Dawa Zam Tshongkhang or T.Dorji’s House
- Lungtenphu: Opposite to RBA football ground
- Jungshina: Above Indian Embassy

Coming soon:-BTL-Voice & SMS voting services for Bhutanese star
Bhutan Telecom brings to you voting services through voice and SMS that will facilitate you to participate in Bhutanese Star organized by Jikdrel Trophel.
To cast your vote:
a) B-Mobile subscribers need to SMS BTstar (keep one space) followed by code number assigned to the respective contestant to 890.
For example: SMS BTstar 02 to 890, if the code assigned to the contestant is 02.
b) From landline, you can dial 890100 followed by the contestant code number to cast your vote.
The B-Mobile and landline numbers as well as the name and code number of the contestant shall be announced later through broadcasting Medias and during live programs.
Make your vote count and see your favorite Bhutanese Star win.
